YOUTH BASKETBALL
BUILT TO PLAY ABOVE THE RIM.
Basketball is a game of jumps, cuts, and sprints repeated a hundred times a night. Trinity's basketball training builds vertical, change-of-direction, and repeat-sprint conditioning for club and school hoopers — boys and girls, guard to post.
What we train for basketball
Youth basketball training in West Covina.
Vertical & landing mechanics
Jump higher and land safer. Plyometric progressions that add inches off both feet and one — paired with landing mechanics that protect knees over a long club season.
Change of direction
The first step past a defender and the closeout that recovers — deceleration and re-acceleration trained as real skills, not afterthoughts.
Repeat-sprint conditioning
The fourth quarter separates hoopers. Conditioning built around basketball's actual demand — repeated bursts up and down the floor, not steady-state cardio.
Guard-to-post specificity
A point guard and a center need different engines. The program reflects the position and the body.

01 Do you train both boys and girls basketball players?
Yes — guard to post, boys and girls, across school-team and club-level athletes in the West Covina and San Gabriel Valley area.
-
02 Can you help my kid jump higher?
Yes. Vertical is trainable — plyometric progressions plus lower-body strength add real inches, off both feet and one. Just as important, we train landing mechanics so a bigger vertical doesn't cost a knee over a long club season.
-
03 My kid plays club ball year-round — is that too much?
Year-round club volume is exactly why load management matters. We build strength and explosiveness in the gaps and manage fatigue so your athlete stays fresh for tournaments instead of grinding down.
-
04 What age do you start basketball training?
From age 7 for foundational movement and coordination; sport-specific vertical, agility, and strength work ramps up through the teen years, scaled to each athlete's stage of development.
