STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
BUILT TO MOVE HEAVY.
Strength is the foundation everything else stacks on. Trinity's strength & conditioning trainers build athletes, professionals, and lifelong residents who want to move heavy, recover hard, and keep doing it for decades.
Who it's for
Built for the people who actually train.
- Lifters chasing real PRs — not gym numbers
- Athletes whose sport demands repeatable power
- Professionals returning to the iron after years away
- Anyone tired of training without a program
What to expect
Training, programmed.
Assessment first
Movement screen, training history, current lifts. Your trainer builds the program around your body — not a template they hand to every client.
Progressive overload that holds up
Programmed cycles with deloads built in. You'll see the numbers move week over week without burning out.
Conditioning that doesn't kill your lifts
Energy-system work paired with strength training, not against it. Capacity grows. Recovery improves. Strength stays.
Training on the floor
Hands-on cues, video review, real-time form correction. Every session has a trainer who's watching.
How strength is programmed here
Every strength client at Trinity starts with a screen, not a max. Your trainer watches you squat, hinge, press and pull with light load, checks the joints that tend to complain (shoulders, hips, low back) and records where you actually are — not where you think you are. From there the program runs in blocks of four to six weeks: a main lift each session, two or three accessories that shore up the weak link, and conditioning that supports the lifting instead of stealing from it. Loads go up on a schedule, deloads are planned, and nothing is left to how you feel on a Tuesday.
The first four weeks
Weeks one and two are about technique and tissue tolerance: moderate loads, full ranges, more sets than you expect at weights that feel easy. Most people are surprised how much they learn about a lift they have done for years. Weeks three and four introduce real intensity — working sets at 75 to 85 percent — once your trainer trusts your positions under fatigue. By the end of the block you have baseline numbers on the main lifts and a clear picture of what the next block attacks.
How progress is measured
Numbers on the bar, but also bar speed, how sets feel at a given percentage, bodyweight trend if that is part of the goal, and whether the nagging joint stopped nagging. Trainers log every session so the trend is visible over months, not guessed at. The floor runs Panatta, Atlantis, Newtech and Booty Builder plate-loaded and selectorized stations alongside racks and bars, so accessory work can be loaded precisely instead of improvised.

Where they train
The Floor.
Strength & conditioning. Panatta, Atlantis, Newtech, Booty Builder.
The heart of a 7,000-square-foot private training facility in West Covina. The Floor runs on four serious strength lines — Panatta, the Italian hand-built plate-loaded and selectorized equipment the pros train on; Atlantis and Newtech strength stations; and Booty Builder glute equipment — alongside free weights, racks, and open floor space. Not a big-box knockoff in the building. No waiting on a rack, no crowd around the dumbbells, and no one on the floor who isn’t here to work.

01 What's the difference between strength training and bodybuilding at Trinity?
Strength training optimizes for force production — heavier lifts at lower rep ranges, longer rest, focused on the big movements. Bodybuilding optimizes for muscle growth — higher volume, more isolation work, shorter rest. Most clients get programmed somewhere on that spectrum based on what they actually want.
-
02 Do I need to already lift weights to work with a strength trainer?
No. Most clients walk in untrained or detrained. The first 4–8 weeks are about teaching the patterns — squat, hinge, press, pull, carry — before we load them. The program scales to where you are, not where you wish you were.
-
03 How often should I train if strength is my goal?
Three sessions a week is the sweet spot for most people. Two works if you're consistent. Four is for the experienced. Your trainer will program around your schedule, not the other way around.
-
04 What certifications do Trinity's strength trainers hold?
NASM-CPT is the baseline. Most also hold CSCS, USAW Level 1, or PN1 Nutrition. Every trainer is independently certified and insured — Trinity vets them before they ever set foot on the floor with a client.
-
05 How much does strength training at Trinity cost?
Each trainer sets their own rates. Sessions typically range from trainer-set rates. Most trainers offer 8-, 12-, and 24-session packages at a per-session discount. Book a free intro to talk numbers with the trainer you match with.
