The Background

A decade in fitness, built on combat sports.

Ryan Leong has spent ten years in the fitness industry and is a specialist in boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA. That is four distinct striking and fighting disciplines, which is a narrower and deeper focus than most general personal training backgrounds.

At Trinity Training West Covina, Ryan coaches one-on-one by appointment, and every program is built around both physical and mental strength: the fitness to keep going and the composure to do it when a session gets hard.

Boxing & Combat

Boxing, Muay Thai and MMA in West Covina.

Ryan trains clients who want to perform better in combat sports, as well as people who simply want the conditioning that striking work builds. Boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai sessions take place around The Boxing Area, Trinity's room for bags, mitts and real work.

Combat-sport training does not require a fight on the calendar. Striking drills build coordination, footwork and stamina in a way few other methods do, and the same work is what fight camps are made of. See how the discipline is organized across the facility in Boxing & Combat training.

Weight Loss & Muscle

Lose weight. Build muscle.

Not every client of Ryan's is heading to a ring. Ryan also trains people whose goal is to lose weight or build muscle, using the same philosophy of pairing physical effort with mental strength. Programs are built for the individual, so a client chasing fat loss and a client chasing size do not receive the same plan.

Strength work happens on The Floor. Read more about weight loss training and muscle building at Trinity.

BOXING & COMBAT
AT TRINITY.

All Boxing & Combat trainers →

A dedicated boxing and striking area on a private floor — not a token speed bag in the corner. Trinity's combat-sport trainers train boxers, Muay Thai practitioners, and fight-conditioning clients who want capacity that holds up under round-pace pressure. Want to compete? Your trainer builds the camp and gets you on a local amateur card when you're ready.

01

REAL PAD TIME

Dedicated striking area. Footwork, mitts, pad work, bag rounds, sparring drills — structured, not freestyled.

02

FIGHT CONDITIONING, PROGRAMMED

Round-based intervals, anaerobic capacity work, sprint repeats, complex circuits — the work that lets you hold output through the late rounds.

03

STRENGTH TRAINING THAT COMPLEMENTS STRIKING

Hip power, rotational force, posterior chain. Combat-sport S&C — built around the punch, the kick, the clinch.

04

BEGINNER-FRIENDLY + COMPETITION-READY

Trainers scale from "never thrown a punch" to "training for a card." No gatekeeping. Everyone gets trained.

Who Ryan’s clients tend to be

  • Amateur and professional fighters in training
  • Beginners stepping into combat sport for the first time
  • Conditioning clients who want to train like fighters without competing
  • Combat-sport athletes building offseason strength
